new phase!

Ok, people! It seems I only wrote here just every solstice or something like that. But it's easier to post on facebook. I really will try to make it more often. But this time I'd also include some post on my other passions. Design and Fashion. Why am I doing this?? Just because I want to.
So here are the things I wanna share with you today...

exit festival!!

Ok, it has been a long time since the last time i published something. This time I wanna show off my adventure at the Exit festival in Serbia. Life has really mysterious ways, so i ended up there, working as a volunteer. For me it was a test, to see how much i really wanted to work on that business (logistics, pr, music, events, and so on) well guess what...i would do it for the rest of my life. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I met great people, i was able to have a look on how a big festival is made and overall...i finally found out what is what i wanna do as a living.

The atmosphere was great! Serbian people is so kind! The festival was held on an ancient fortress, so the views at night were incredible. It was hard to walk while wearing sandals (yeah...me trying to look good before being comfortable) but it was no problem...the experience worth any other kind of pain. Of course there were many drunk guys trying to flirt..as much as their senses allowed them.

The line up was good...big names as Mika, Chemical Brothers, Faith no more, and many more were there. My favorite act was indeed Royksopp...oh my!!! if I liked them before after seeing them...i fell in love after that. Also..Klaxons were good...the vibe while they were singing was superb. I was alone there but everybody sang as one single voice..then i wasn't alone anymore.

Die Antwoord!! Two thumbs up!! they are funny, witty,...i knew just a bit about them before going, i saw some vids, and listened to some of their songs, now i wanna know more about them.

And i have a special mention here..."Silent Disco" (www.silentdisco.com) Silent Disco is something that you have to experience for yourself. Basically the deal is this: you enter an arena, no music apparently, one person from the staff puts over your head a nice set of headphones (yellowish yay!!) and the magic begins. You have two channel to choose. One for each dj. They play all kind of music...well not any kind of music...they know what to play to get you in the right mood! This time silent disco was hosted by DJOD and DJ Vincent 1000. The 1st one is one of the creators of the concept, he's a shinny, funny guy (not that i praise him because I know him )...he can play from pitbull to nirvana...and everybody seems to enjoy it! DJ Vincent 1000 is a wicked man! Men! You have to see him dancing! he plays really fine selections...i loved him! He has so much energy on the stage...
The crowd!! the crowd!!! My my my!!! they went crazy about the DJ's, they were so passionate!!
Personally, Silent Disco was my refugee from the crowds, ironically, it was crowded (see picture) but it was nice being there for some hours...it was my "headphones on-world off" moment but multiplied by 1000. Long life to SD and good luck with their new projects.

Finally...the master piece... DANCE ARENA...it was the most hypnotic place to be. Electronic music, all night long, non-stop...it was like being in heaven for me. Dancing till dawn, a beautiful place, the finest music, beers, and good company. The 1st time i saw it, i was in shock...in a good way.

Ok...those are some of my memories of one of the best experiences of my life. I hope to be back next year...
